Lluvia bakery was founded in 2009 to create a safe place for single mothers to learn skills and find their confidence. The story began when Prema, a single mom in dire straits approached us for a job as a maid. Inspired by Prof Yunus’ success in setting up a social enterprise, we set Prema’s training into motion. Teaching her baking 1 hour a day when she was not doing housework elsewhere. Prema finally stayed with LLUVIA for 4 years and held the position of supervisor. Most of the women we hired were trying to earn a living as maids and we convinced them to rethink their future and envision a larger canvas. A lot of work that we do in LLUVIA is about soft skills. Life skills like baking are taught on the way. We have now expanded our hiring to include men & women and are mainly focusing on unemployed youth.

We have been in the health food business for a long time and we have amazing products to speak for our efforts – jaggery-based granola bars, gluten-free crackers, organic bread, and keto-friendly snacks. Our vision since we opened in 2009 has not changed. We create healthy, honest products that we believe speak for themselves.

After 11 years of steady growth and product stability, we are steering towards the retail and FMCG market reaching out with a unique and healthy range of products for people of all ages under our own brands – LLUVIA, Lluvia 4 to 6 & Ryte Seasonings

The brands will mainly focus on all healthy Snacks that can be consumed on the go. This is healthy in a convenient form with High protein, High fiber, and Low GI- One of the brands will help mothers choose the right snacks for kids at the 4-6 munchies time. We will be launching products that are kid-friendly, woman-friendly, diet-friendly. In short, we are here to redefine health and nutrition and provide to the customer in the most convenient hassle freeway.
