Why Women Entrepreneurs?
- The 432 million women of working age in India are the country’s largest under-tapped economic resource.
- The proportion of unpaid women workers in India (66%) is much higher than that of men (12%).
- Accelerating growth in the number as well as size of women-owned enterprises can generate potentially transformational employment in India, of 150 to 170 million jobs by 2030.
